Who we are

This website, www.dtuckercpa.com, is operated by David Tucker CPA, P.C. ("Tucker CPA", "we", "us"), a certified public accounting practice located in Austin, Texas. You can reach us at david@tucker.cpa or (512) 844-1003.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the website or use the contact form, how we use it, and the choices you have. It does not cover the client engagement itself; information you share with us as a client is protected by the confidentiality obligations that apply to CPAs under Texas law and Internal Revenue Code section 7216, and by our engagement letter.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, business name, industry, your preferred contact method and anything you write in the message field. The form is delivered to our email inbox so we can reply.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) to operate and secure the site. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects aggregated usage data about the pages you visit. IP addresses are anonymized. Spam protection. The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which analyzes signals from your browser to tell people from bots. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

How we use information

We use contact form submissions to respond to your enquiry, schedule a consultation and, if you become a client, to open the engagement. We use server logs and analytics to keep the site running, understand which pages are useful and improve the content. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that make the site work: our hosting provider, the form delivery service, Google reCAPTCHA and, if you consented, Google Analytics. Each acts under its own privacy terms. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.

Retention

Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, as part of the client file. Analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics settings for the property.

Your choices

You can decline analytics cookies in the cookie banner or change your choice at any time using the Manage Cookies link in the footer. You can ask us to correct or delete the personal information you submitted through the site by emailing david@tucker.cpa.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision.
