QuickBooks Online and Desktop
Bookkeeping, Accounting and Payroll

Overview
Bookkeeping is the third pillar of the practice because the quality of the tax return depends on it. When David keeps the books, the year-end close is quick, the return matches the financials, and planning conversations during the year are based on real numbers.
Engagements are built around QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, whichever fits the business. Monthly work includes categorizing transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, recording loans and fixed assets, and producing a balance sheet and profit and loss. Payroll adds pay runs, tax deposits, quarterly filings (941, Texas Workforce Commission) and year-end W-2s and 1099s.
Documents move through Dropbox, which keeps everything in one place and lets you share statements and receipts without email attachments.
